BUSINESS SERVICES MANAGER SPC Cooperative Credit Union seeks a goal-oriented professional with the ability to prospect new commercial business relationships and manage existing member relationships in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina.

The business services manager will maintain and build account relationships with business members by providing additional commercial products and services available at the credit union or provided by outside third party vendors. Ability to understand business loan requests, to discuss loan structure with business members, to collect appropriate financial information for underwriting, and to interact with credit administration personnel in the presentation and approval of a business loan is essential. Will manage the department, budget, develop, and propose strategic plans designed to meet the credit unions short and long term commercial lending objectives.

Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a diverse membership. A four-year business degree is preferred. Job experience with five to ten years of business lending experience preferred.

ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER MPCU seeks a motivated individual to be assistant branch manager in Lugoff, SC office. This position will be responsible for assisting the branch manager in daily operations of the branch. Successful candidates must have knowledge of the lending process including loan interview, decision making, and loan processing. Other duties include assisting members with opening accounts.

Minimum five years of consumer lending experience and three years of supervisory experience required. Four-year college degree in business management, finance, or related curriculum preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Will oversee all aspects of the Association’s compliance services function for credit unions as well as provide risk management support. Will provide compliance education and training, develop material and deliver compliance training across the state.

Responsibilities include: answering compliance questions; carrying out compliance education and training; finding new and innovative ways to help member institutions meet compliance needs; and supervising department staff.

A minimum of 5 years experience of direct compliance in financial service or related industry is required, along with a BA; JD desirable; Compliance Officer Certification desirable; Analyzes and interprets governmental regulations and legal documents; displays professionalism; reads extensively daily.
