Share Draft Department

In April of 1993, Palmetto Cooperative Services implemented an in-house capture operation. This operation enhances the share draft program in many ways. The item capture operation gives credit unions an increased amount of control of the vital credit union service.

The share draft program operates with each credit union settling their members' drafts through First Carolina Corporate Credit Union and handling special items as directed by the credit union. Upon completion of handling the daily returns, the drafts are microfilmed and filed. The actual drafts are stored for sixty (60) days while the microfilm is kept forever.
